Course Overview
Technical analysis is the study of investor behaviour and its effect on the subsequent price action of financial instruments. The course explores various charting methods and their applications across currency, commodity and other financial markets.
Course Content
- What is it all about? Implications; what is more important than why
- Trends and patterns — channels, head and shoulders, flags and pennants
- Momentum indicators — simple moving averages; weighted moving averages; Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD); Relative Strength Index (RSI)
- Volatility and retracement indicators — Bollinger Bands; moving averages and trading envelopes combined; Fibonacci analysis
- Candlestick charting
